Eurocopter Southeast Asia purchases four helicopters

Eurocopter Southeast Asia (ESEA) has signed its first contract with Vinacopter for the purchase of four helicopters.

Vinacopter has purchased the Eurocopter’s to service its first ever Helicopter Dealership in Vietnam. The purpose is to assist private owners and commercial operators in the operation of Eurocopter helicopters in Vietnam and neighbouring countries. The fleet inventory, which will consist of one AS355NP, a new generation light twin engine helicopter, two high performance single engine AS350B3 aircraft and one twin engine EC145 (high Cargo capacity), offers the widest range of utilization. They go from passengers transport to cargo/utility and even up to VIP configuration for private owners. The first helicopter available will be the Single engine AS350 by end of September. The remaining part will be delivered through the end of the year early 2011. Vinacopter is already discussing with Eurocopter the acquisition of 4 more helicopters to support the expected market growth for 2011/2012 in the country. For the record, Vinacopter will support its customer from two main bases in Ho Chi Mihn city and Hanoi and has been appointed by Eurocopter since February 2010 as its distributor in Vietnam for civil helicopters.
